The New York Times offers the most complete coverage of this story. As currently being considered, it would not be an outright sale. The complicated deal would net Yahoo about $17 billion in cash and allow it and its partners to avoid having to pay taxes on it. According to the Times, the terms of the deal involve Alibaba and Softbank (the major stakeholder in Yahoo Japan) setting up new subsidiaries consisting of both cash and operating assets which Yahoo wants to run. Nice lot of 3 civilian produced, military article laded magazines from the 1960`s and Vietnam War era. They include: 1) Argosy Vol. 360 #5 for May of 1965: subscription copy, 144 pages, color and B/W photos, with articles such as “The Green Badge of Courage” [Special Forces spread, one photo picturing Captain Roger Donlon getting the Congressional Medal of Honor [see 3rd photo], the 1st granted since the Korean War], “Last Command” [the story of a German U-Boat versus the freighter "Carib-Star"], and “Hope Springs Eternal” [story of Bob Hope`s entertaining the troops]; 2) “True” Vol. 46 #343 for December of 1965: subscription copy, 144 pages of illustrated articles including “Badges of the Brave” [color photo section of 12 famed regimental crests and shorts notes re their history and lineage, including the 182nd, 308th, 306th, 157th, 116th, 475th, 35th, 168th, 325th, 117th, 7th, and 16th....see photo #2], “The Secret D-Day Spy Plot”, and “The Kaiser`s One-Man Underground”; and 3) “The Saturday Evening Post” Vol. 236 #11 for March 23, 1963: subscription copy, 84 pages w/great B/W and color illustrated articles including “I`m Hit! Yesterday I had a long series of (very productive) meetings about a book we’re doing, and then headed to Spalding. As with the event at Guisborough, I was there to sign books, and talk about some items that people had brought in. And what a lot of wonderful things the people of Spalding brought for me to see!

There was a very wide variety of objects, ranging from several 19th century Chinese ivory carvings to Staffordshire pottery.
