1944 dated on printed QM tag. 20th Corps patch on left shoulder, pin backMajor`s leaves are Meyer maker marked. US and Infantry collar devices, 6 place ribbon group including Purple Heart and ETO with invasion arrowhead and silver campaign star. Also PUC ribbon on right chest + 5 o/seas bars on left cuff. Clean!

Vendor reports direct from the GI who served in 1943-Africa lot. Bevo flat-silver eagle is the style that was used on pre-war EM/NCO parade tunics w/wool backing and saw war-time combat tunic duty w/this burlap backing. This example is on dark-green w/cut and folded back gray edges holding the brown burlap w/machine stitch holes from being sewn to DAK tropical tunic. + RAF gray bevo sleeve eagle on black rectangle showing tunic use. Nice Afrika Souvenir Eagles Lot!

About 6″ wide red satin ribbon has water-pattern, is 7`-feet long w/silver fringe to ends and printed black swastika on sewn white satin disc near each end. No trace of wording for exact event use. ARMY OFFICER DAGGER `GUSTAV SPITZER`

Scarce seldom seen lion-trademarked bright polished steel blade by Spitzer that produced RLB and some SA daggers also. This isn`t the very early orange grip and brass base-metal style but the later done yellow grip and steel scabbard era dagger. The trademark disc is located farther down the blade than an early produced dagger, brown leather washer intact. Bright silver plated finish to eagle crossguard, ferrule band, pommel and to scabbard for matching finish-look overall. Yellow grip has darker recesses. Single screw to scabbard throat w/only age being some minor rust patina to scabbard tip and odd detail to the steel hanger rings that never got soldered. This could have been one of the last pre-war Army Daggers Done by Spitzer!
