If you’ve never been to one of our Essex auctions, you’re in for a treat. Whether you’re looking for a bargain or hunting down collectibles or treasures, Boningtons, the Essex Auctioneers, cater to all tastes and budgets.

If you’ve not yet been to an auction and need a little guidance, you can read our page on How to Buy at Auction. It’s not as intimidating as some people think and you’ll find that auctions can be very exciting and enjoyable. You can attend the viewing day beforehand to see what will be on sale and to familiarise yourself with the items you wish to buy.

We sell all manner of different items at our Essex auctions, from toys to fine art to antique furniture. Our list of auction departments will give you some idea of how much variety is involved!

We also hold Fortnightly Vintage Sales where we sell affordable mid-range antiques and collectibles, including furniture, ceramics, jewellery and so much more, not to mention some rather quirkier items. These are held every other Monday.

Our Specialist Sales, on the other hand, focus on premium examples from particular periods or genres, such as Oriental ceramics or fine art and antiques. These are scheduled throughout the year.

Perhaps you’re interesting in selling at one of our Essex auctions? If so, please take a look at our guide How to Sell at Auction. We’re happy to provide valuation services too. We hope that you decide to visit one of our auctions soon and either nab yourself a bargain or find something special to treasure.
